Welcome!

Welcome!!

Welcome! This is just to help make the first night of Agility 1 easy for you and your dog. Please take a moment to read over it!

STEP 1) On class nights, please wait and feed your dog after class - and probably feed them less, as they will have had a lot of treats! :)

STEP 2) Please DO bring:
- Top quality treats (if you would be willing to eat it, it’s probably a good choice!). Hot dogs, cut-up cheese, string cheese, or chicken are good choices. Bring more than you think you will need! Running out before the class is over is not a good thing!

-Leash without attachments (i.e poop bags). NO FLEXI-LEASHES

-Plain buckle collar, or a Gentle Leader or Easy-Walk style harness. NO prongs or choke chains.

-A good chewie to keep them occupied during the boring bits (think of it as coloring books for kids on a trip--an ounce of prevention goes a long way!)

- A favorite toy, if they like to play with one (optional!)

IF YOUR DOG BARKS AT YOU FOR TREATS DURING CLASSES, OR BARKS/BECOMES OVER-EXCITED BY OTHER DOGS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME for ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS!

STEP 3) PARKING - AT SHIRLINGTON:
DO: You may park in front of Woofs, on the street by the tennis courts, along the side by Curry’s auto and the two rows behind Curry’s auto.
DO NOT- Please, don’t park at the chicken place/gas station! They AGGRESSIVELY tow! Do not park at the DMV, as they tow too.
(Hint - Parking spots tend to open up after 6:55-7:00, when daycare clients are done picking up their dogs).

STEP 4) Arrival at Class:
Remember some dogs maybe worried about other dogs, so please respect their space - don’t let your dog randomly go upto everybody else.

Please wait till after 7:05 to enter the building! We have a very small lobby, and with daycare clients and boarding dogs moving around, we don’t have enough space!
At 7:05, please come in, and we will move you directly into the main space.
Please find a chair, get your treats out, and get ready to go!

We are looking forward to meeting you and your canine companion next week!

Happy New Year,
Melissa Frye and the WOOFS! Agility instructors
